To assist the health authorities in managing IVIG requests, an IVIG Request Module was developed within the BC Central Transfusion Registry (CTR). This module provides authorized PBCO staff and external users with access to a web-based system to facilitate efficient and effective management of requests. Screening physicians can remotely approve or deny requests, thus enabling more timely treatment. In addition, requests can be tracked to monitor status (in progress, approval, denial) and when approvals expire.
