The BC Provincial Blood Coordinating Office (PBCO) has collaborated with health authorities to implement the Transparent Blood Inventory System (TBI).

Access to timely, accurate, and comprehensive blood inventory and utilization information is essential in the event of a blood shortage or advisory phase. The inventory status in the province, including those of Canadian Blood Services and hospital sites, is vital for making appropriate and well-informed decisions.

The TBI System contains two dashboards - the TBI dashboard and Inventory Utilization dashboard, which respectively present inventory and utilization data in an interactive and user-friendly manner.
