iCHIP Application
The Inherited Coagulopathy and Hemoglobinopathy Information Portal (iCHIP) is the first North American application of its kind. It is comprised of two components – a Patient Home Module (PHM) and a Clinical Module. The PHM is a robust data management tool for patients to help them accurately track their use of factor product which they infuse at home. The PHM also links with the Clinical Module to enable clinicians to view in a timely manner if their patient requires a follow-up where the clinician may provide more timely clinical care, just-in-time patient education, and adjustments in their factor product dosage. This approach empowers patient self management. Using real-time feedback from the PHM as well as comprehensive patient electronic charting supports clinicians to provide enhanced patient care and improve care outcomes.

iCHIP
The Inherited Coagulopathy and Hemoglobinopathy Information Portal (iCHIP) is an application that was developed by the BC Provincial Blood Coordinating Office (PBCO) to support patient care and improve care outcomes for patients living with inherited bleeding disorders. Using modern technology, iCHIP was launched in 2013 and is a web-based application that allows patients to track their home factor infusions and bleeding records and relay this information in real-time to their clinicians at BC Children's or St. Paul's hospitals
